INVITATION TO LAW FIRMS FOR PARTICIPATION IN IPOS’ IP LEGAL CLINIC
The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) will run the IP Legal Clinic programme to provide local businesses and individuals with access to a selected panel of law firms to deliver preliminary advice on intellectual property (IP) disputes such as IP infringement, revocation, opposition and invalidation.

Payment | Each IP Legal Clinic requestor shall be responsible for the law firm’s fees for the IP Legal Clinic session. IPOS shall assist each requestor to cover the law firm’s fees, by direct disbursement of payment to the law firm on behalf of the requestor after the stipulated requirements are met. |
Law firms interested in participating in the IP Legal Clinic are to submit their quotations online via the Government Electronic Business (GeBIZ) website at http://www.gebiz.gov.sg (IPO000EAR24000107) by 2 December 2024 by 1300H (Singapore time). Any quotation not submitted in accordance with the GeBIZ Terms and Conditions and with this Invitation to Quote (ITQ) will not be considered.
IP Business Clinic
Our IP Business Clinic offers consultations on IP strategies and other IP-related business concerns. This service allows Singapore citizens or Permanent residents and/or Singapore registered businesses to speak with a professional consultant.
This 45-minute complimentary session (for first-time requestors only) allows you to discuss IP strategies and options for businesses with the consultant. Areas of expertise include advisory on IP issues in overseas markets, IP Commercialisation, IP Intelligence, Audit and Valuation, and IP Strategy and IP Portfolio Management.
[From 24 February 2025] Integration of IP Business Clinic into GoBusiness IP Grow
The IP Business Clinic programme will be integrated into GoBusiness IP Grow, an online Intangible Asset (IA) and IP service marketplace, designed to support enterprises in leveraging IA/IP for growth by connecting them with suitable service providers, with effect from 24 February 2025.
We are pleased to inform that the complimentary 45-minute consultation session that is offered in the IP Business Clinic will continue to be offered through GoBusiness IP Grow by participating service providers. Please look out for more updates on this page.
The current IP Business Clinic sessions continue to run from now until 23 February 2025. Please note that there will be no IP Business Clinic scheduled in the last two weeks of December 2024.

Ms Mary Grace Alcasid is the IP and Legal Manager as well as the General Administrator of the firm. She is a qualified lawyer from the Philippines and a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Singapore. She is also a Registered Trade Mark Agent in Singapore. Grace heads the firm’s Philippines desk and manages the client’s business portfolios in the Philippines.
Grace has practiced IP Law with the firm for 10 years and brings her IP practice experience particularly in opposition and prosecution matters to the team. Grace also manages the firm’s portfolio of providing company secretarial advice and support including incorporation of companies, the drafting of directors’ and shareholders’ resolutions and other corporate secretarial documents, preparation and filing of forms with the Accounting and Regulatory Authority of Singapore.

Mr Kong has more than 33 years of franchising experience, of which 11 were as a master franchisee of a UK-based franchise. His achievements include helping over 1300 companies in over 10 Asian countries in franchising & related consulting work and building a network of over 70 strategic partners in over 50 nations, of which 2 are his franchisees. Albert is a board member at many franchise-related bodies including the World Franchise Council, Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation and Franchising & Licensing Association, Singapore. She has over 20 years of experience in Franchise & License Development Consulting; Intellectual Property Management; IP and Operations Audit as well as Productivity Improvement. Christine is a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) which is awarded by the International Franchise Association (IFA) based in Washington D.C. USA. She was conferred the Practicing Management Consultant (PMC) and Senior Practicing Management Consultant (SPMC) by the PMC Accreditation Board. Mr Clarence Nah is the GM & Resident Consultant with AFC and since 2002, has been instrumental in enhancing franchising and management capabilities of several hundred companies, across diverse industries in Singapore and Asia Pacific. Mr Dixon Soh has practised law as a private practitioner, in-house legal counsel and as a lawyer/IP Strategist in the public sector. Mr Winston Chan is the Group Managing Partner of FT Consulting – a Singapore-headquartered, Asia-centric IP and business consulting firm founded in 1991. Listed in “IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists” since 2018, he has 2 decades of experience in franchising, technology transfer, strategic planning, branding, innovation, and IP management projects across countries. Mr Robin Yeo is a certified management consultant under the Singapore Government’s Practicing Management Consultants (PMC) scheme. Robin joined FT Consulting in 2007; he has since worked on over 100 consulting projects locally and in countries such as Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Mr Ludwig Lindermayer (M.Eng. / Ingénieur diplômé de l'EPF) is a German and European Patent and Trademark attorney. He can also act in Austria and Switzerland on behalf of his clients. Mr Lindermayer counsels on patents, trademarks, designs, service inventions and contracts with a focus on start-ups and SMEs, also regarding strategy and enforcement in Asia – China in particular.
